May 28, 2013 · The B8.5 puts down less power, stock, compared to the the B8, but when chipped, it's very similar in final output. Drivetrain loss will be slightly different between the two cars as gearing is different, however the difference between chipped output with the blower at 100% is tiny compared to the stock figures which very great.

I assume the same for 1BD and 1BV, but I can't directly confirm that because not enough people offered up data from relevant vehicles to work it out (ie, B8.5 S4 3.0T 1BD vs. B8.5 A4 3.0T 1BA, etc).

Jul 9, 2014 · It had very low torque but a lot of HP. its an entirely different engine. the rs5 engine is similar to the engine in the b7 rs4 and the r8 v8 [shares almost everything if i remember correctly] the s5 engine is a rehash of the b7 s4 v8 which shares nothing other than displacement with the rs v8. 07-07-2015 10:19 AM #3.
Jan 4, 2021 · I was in between an S4 and S5 (both B8.5) when car shopping nearly 2.5 years ago. I had no preference when I first started searching but like others said, I think comes down to the practicality and having those 4 doors versus 2 and with that being said I said screw it and got the S5 because to me the wider body and more aggressive looking front end (imo) looks better! .
